Springtime Cheese Writing Class for Kids: Saturday, May 13, 3:45-5pm, $40 per child

Location: The Queensboro (80-02 Northern Blvd, Queens, NY 11372)

Join for an afternoon of cheese education with Stand Alone cheesemonger Katie Machen on Saturday, May 13!

In this 75-minute class, kids will try three different cheeses from around the world and think about what they look, smell, and taste like. With writing prompts, they'll think about their favorite foods, least favorite foods, and food memories. Together we will come up with the vocabulary to describe the cheeses we try and the other foods we discuss. So much of knowing how to order cheeses you like is having an idea of what it is you like!

Children who have attended before are welcome to return--we will be tasting three new cheeses--and those who are coming for the first time are welcome, too. This is a drop-off event. While children are learning about cheese, their parents/guardians are encouraged to have a bite or a drink at The Q!

This course is designed for kids aged 7-12 and costs $40 per child. Please pay via Venmo or Apple Pay at the time of registration. If paying in cash, please have exact change ready at the start of the class. In the case of illness, please let Katie know and plan to stay home. Refunds available up to 24 hours before the start of class time.
Please fill out one form for each child you are registering. Registration for this class is required and is open until Friday, March 10 or until we meet our cap of 12 kids.

When? Saturday, May 13, 3:45-5pm
Where? The Queensboro's Party Room (80-02 Northern Blvd, Queens, NY 11372; downstairs)
Cost? $40 per child (Venmo/Apple Pay/Cash)
What should I bring? An appetite and a curious spirit! Paper and pencils will be provided.
